PADI ADVANCED COURSE PENIDA DIVES
In order to achieve your Advanced Open Water Diver status, you will consequently need to spend 2 days with us. During the 2 day course, we will complete 5 open water adventure dives together with the related knowledge development assessments. These will include 2 mandatory and 3 optional dives. Nusa Penida Island caters especially to a few specific adventure dives and therefore are recommended by our dive center. The 2 mandatory dives are Deep and Underwater Navigation. For the other 3, we advise doing the Drift, Peak Performance Buoyancy, and Fish Identification dives. Our diving conditions will allow you to achieve maximum satisfaction when choosing these as your adventure dives. However, we do have other options if you desire.
If you only have 1 day to spare, then enroll in the PADI Adventure Diver Course. Thereafter, it is possible to complete the full Advanced Open Water Course, later.
Deep Adventure Dive
The Deep Adventure Dive is what most people look forward to the most. The major reason for this is that you will increase your depth limitation from 18 to 30 meters. As mentioned, the underwater world changes as we descend deeper, and the chances of spotting Mola Mola are more likely. The increase in depth doesn’t result in a more difficult dive, however, it involves a few slight differences. First, together with your instructor, you will review the knowledge development and thereafter discuss the deep dive plan. During a deep dive, you will notice that your air consumption might be faster than it was before. The time we can spend at depth will also decrease because of the effects of gases on our bodies. We will also play a few games underwater and thus will see how depth affects different aspects of the natural world as we know it.
Peak Performance Buoyancy Adventure Dive
The ability to achieve and maintain buoyancy is a skill that transforms someone from a good to a great diver. In general, buoyancy is something that most people have difficulty with during the Open Water Course. It, therefore, takes time underwater as well as practice in order to understand it and thereafter, to perfect it. The Peak Performance Buoyancy adventure dive will enhance your buoyancy skills through various exercises and fun games. Your instructor will provide professional tips on how to work on your buoyancy throughout every dive, in all types of conditions. In the end, you will certainly be a buoyancy Guru!
Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive
Finding your way around underwater is an impressive skill to have and will definitely be useful for your diving adventures. With the right tools and professional training, you will turn into an underwater GPS system. Having said that, you will learn how to use a compass and utilize it for dive site orientation. Additionally, we will also practice using our compass in search and recovery scenarios, which is a useful ability to have. Being a confident navigator will ultimately make you feel more comfortable underwater and thus maximize your enjoyment. In fact, your dive buddies might also look to you for guidance if they need it. On the whole, being a star navigator won’t hurt and will surely come in handy!
Drift Adventure Dive
Nusa Penida Island is home to some of the greatest drift diving in Indonesia. Our dive sites are famous for having strong currents which many divers flock to from around the world. We don’t blame them, it truly is an amazing feeling to drift alongside a giant Mola Mola. Choosing to do the Drift Adventure Dive here is a great idea. You will surely learn how to master your drift diving skills and take them with you around the world. Keep in mind that you will be under the constant supervision of a PADI professional who will guide you along. It is worth noting that the buoyancy dive goes well together with the drift dive. If you can master these 2 skills together, then you are on the right track. Drift diving is certainly a crowd favorite and we are sure that you will love it, too.
Fish Identification & Underwater Naturalist Adventure Dive
Learning how to identify different fish species, their habitats, and behaviors is as fun as it sounds. In general, as a diving community, we often see fish we can’t name and rely on dive professionals for answers. Although they are happy to help, it is advisable to have your own knowledge of the underwater world. The more we know about what lies beneath the surface, the more we will enjoy our dives. As a result, you may even develop an unknown passion for the sea creatures of the deep. This is especially true for those who are passionate about ocean conservation. Together with your instructor, you will learn how to identify different fish families, where they live, and how they behave. In the end, you will feel better about yourself by knowing exactly what is swimming around you while diving.

“
Completing my Advanced Course was an obvious next step for me. I arrived intending to only complete my Open Water Course, however; I ended up staying. First, the dive center itself was amazing! It was clean and therefore felt inviting. Additionally, they had an onsite classroom and pool for training, which definitely makes life easier. Once I had completed my OWC, I was hooked, instantly. Thereafter, my instructor helped me to transition into my next step, without delay. I immediately signed up for the AOWC and started straight away. I completed the adventure dive as per their recommendations and was ultimately happy with the outcome. We saw a Mola Mola on my deep dive, too. In the event that I hadn’t done the course, then I probably wouldn’t have seen one. In fact, I also saw tons of Manta Rays. All in all, it was truly amazing! “
