PADI MSDT PREP INTERNSHIP PENIDA – COURSE STRUCTURE
To begin your PADI MSDT Internship Penida we will start with 2 days of MSDT preparation training. Thereafter the focus will be on how to teach, plan, conduct, and market 5 PADI specialties. During your Internship we will require you to do:
- Classroom Presentations – Candidates will present academic demonstrations of each specialty course.
- In-water presentations – Candidates will run open water teaching presentations.
- In-water workshops – Candidates will conduct in-water workshops on the different specialties.
- Work closely with your MSDT instructor in order to gain as much information and tips as possible.
- Improve your teaching style by receiving constructive feedback and thereafter making adjustments.
- Gain invaluable experience by practicing the skills of your chosen specialties.
MSDT RATING
Once you’re ready to teach 5 different PADI Specialities, you will then start achieving your MSDT rating. In order to achieve this rating, you will need 25 certifications under your belt. You can do this through independent teaching programs or by joining our internship.

PADI MSDT INTERNSHIP PENIDA
Legend Diving has designed a specific PADI MSDT Internship that is done over a 2-week period. This internship is available for those who have completed their IDC or MSDT training with us. Candidates that have shown that they have a professional and determined attitude will only make the cut. Additionally, you will have the opportunity of earning 2 Open Water and 2 DSD certifications. We believe that experience is the best form of learning, and that is why we offer this package.
At the beginning of your internship, you will shadow one of our accomplished instructors and work closely with them. During this time you will get an in-depth look at how to plan and conduct different courses. Efficiency and effectiveness will be the focus, and you will learn how to accomplish them both. Please ask questions, that is why you are here, after all.
Once you have gained enough insight into the procedures of running a course, it will be your time to shine. Consequently, you will teach a course under the supervision of one of our team members. Notably, you will need to plan the full course and show off what you have learned along the way. Nevertheless, the supervising instructor will be there to provide guidance and tips whenever you need, or when they see fit. In the end, you will have a few certifications under your name, thus making your resume glow.
PADI MSDT INTERNSHIP PENIDA – TULAMBEN EXCURSION
As part of your PADI MSDT internship Penida training, there is an optional excursion to Tulamben. We will conduct this trip over 3 days and it will include:
- Wreck specialty course (conducted at two separate wrecks)
- Night specialty course
- DPV specialty course
- Freediving course
Over and above these specialties, you can enjoy the different dive sites that surround you. They are totally different from Nusa Penida and thus offer new and exciting marine creatures. In fact, the area is popular for a wide variety of macro life, so make sure to bring your camera. Moreover, if conditions allow, we will conduct a Fluo Night dive at Coral Garden, a beautifully colored dive site. This is certainly something that you do not want to miss.

GETTING TECHNICAL
Learning how to become a sidemount diver will certainly give you a new perspective of what we are capable of. Additionally, it’s a great step in the right direction if you have a passion for technical diving. The ability to dive with not 1 but 2 tanks at your sides will provide you with several advantages. First, you will always have a redundant air source strapped to your body. Second, you will have fewer problems cramming into tighter spaces underwater. In fact, by removing the tank from your back you will become more streamlined and efficient. Having the ability to teach sidemount diving in particular, will make you more employable around the world.
The Enriched Air instructor course is certainly one of the most popular amongst the global diving community. During your training, you will learn how to effectively teach students to dive with Nitrox. In fact, they will thank you as you will open the door to deeper and longer dives.
Learning the specifics of deep diving is crucial for anyone who wants to further their scuba adventures. Notably, the Deep Speciality Instructor course will give you the ability to dive at 40metres while teaching student divers. Moreover, you will study the rules, regulations, and safety procedures for diving at depth.
Nusa Penida is a drift divers paradise with many dive sites to choose from. Throughout the training, you will learn how to effectively teach your students this new skill. Consequently, you will learn different entry and exit techniques, as well as how to handle changing currents.

SAVING OUR SEAS
Here at Legend Diving Penida we keep an environmentally friendly approach and have strict guidelines in place to enforce it. Moreover, we are passionate ocean conservationists with multiple projects on the go at all times. Throughout your training, you will become part of our conservation team and participate in Coral Propagation projects. Additionally, you will learn how to plan, grow, monitor, and keep our coral reefs healthy. All in all, the course teaches us the best ways in which to treat and care for the ocean. Together with the Manta Megafauna Foundation, we provide a unique specialty that will expand your overall Manta knowledge. Besides the scientific information gained, you will learn how to teach student divers proper interaction etiquette. How we approach and dive alongside the Mantas is vital to enjoying a dive with them.
Our Coral Watch and Project AWARE specialties are certainly a great way in which we can give back to the ocean. Learn how to teach these initiatives to student divers while working alongside our team of experienced instructors.
