There is something special about going deeper while underwater and the Deep Diver Nusa Penida course will take you there. The marine life that roams Nusa Penida Island changes significantly the deeper and further we dive. Therefore, the chance of encountering pelagic creatures is high, of which is the famous Mola Mola. A rarity only found in specific parts of the world. Having a Deep Diver certification is highly recommended, as it allows for enjoying the surrounding underwater world to the fullest. Shipwreck diving, for example, is mostly done at depth. Once certified, then you can dive up to 40metres / 130feet. The rules and procedures of deep diving differ from shallower recreational diving. Your instructor will cover both the knowledge development and skills training with you.

The Deep Diver Nusa Penida course will only take as little as 1 .5 days to complete. The format for your time while at Legend Diving Penida will be:
Deep Diver Nusa Penida – Day 1
First, you will meet your Deep Diver Nusa Penida instructor. They will help you with the digital sign up and give a rundown of the Legend Diving Penida dive center. Second, the choice of completing the knowledge development questionnaires either online or in our onsite classroom is yours. Once finished, then your instructor will revise them with you and answer questions you may have. The theory of deep diving, in particular, may differ from the knowledge that you already know. Some new protocols and procedures needed whilst at depth will be learned in a fun and interactive way. The science behind these skills is interesting and will help you understand better why we do what we do.
Deep Diver Nusa Penida – Day 2
It is now time to put that theory into practice and ultimately get deeper underwater! To begin your day, your instructor will brief you on the different performance requirements that need to be met. After, we will head out for a 3 dive day trip around Nusa Penida Island. We will do all dives at depth and you will practice the skills you learned the day before. These skills include; gas management, navigation, color and pressure changes, and many more. The dive sites around the island are beautiful and at the same time, unique. Based on the conditions, we will decide on the best dive sites to visit for the day. Perhaps we will get lucky and meet with the Mantas or the elusive Mola Mola.
Other than the standard Scuba Diving gear, we also recommend bringing a few extras with you. Specifically, a divers slate as well as a flashlight will come in handy for deeper dives. Moreover, the water on Nusa Penida can also get chilly, therefore, we advise using a 5mm wetsuit at a minimum. Additionally, bring a diving hood if you have one. All of the gear mentioned is for hire and is indeed available at the dive center if needed.
