Why is it Essential?

Aware Shark Conservation

We often see sharks as scary creatures of the deep, however, there is more to them than that. It is not very well known that many shark species are in decline on a global scale.

Sharks have a major contribution to the ecosystem as a whole. During this specialty, you will study the value and importance of sharks to both marine and human life. With this being said, we will also look at why sharks are in decline and how to prevent a further decrease. This particular specialty can primarily be presented as a classroom exercise or can include 2 dives as well. On the positive side, we credit your first dive of this course as 1 adventure dive towards your AOWC course. Nusa Penida Island is home to a few different species, so a sighting is relatively high, especially at Manta Point. Look out for the local Bamboo sharks.

  • Number of dives: 2

Float with Ease

Peak Performance Buoyancy

The ability to maintain and control one’s buoyancy during a dive separates good divers from great divers. PADI Professionals make this particular skill a top priority when teaching.

Divers who have good buoyancy will look more relaxed and in control of themselves underwater. They can hover on demand whether it be horizontally, vertically, or even upside down. In fact, divers who are buoyancy Gurus will also have much better air consumption! Obviously, this is something we all strive for. During the course, you will learn these skills together with an instructor through in-water training. In the first place, we will determine the exact weight you will need to use. Secondly, our equipment definitely makes a difference, and we will ensure you are streamlined and everything fits. Once we have the gear sorted, we will head to the water and start our journey in becoming a buoyancy hero.

Find What You Lost

Search and Recovery

The chances of misplacing something underwater at least once in your diving career are pretty high. These things happen, and therefore having the ability to find them is an important skill to add to your list.

During the PADI Search and Recovery specialty, the focus is on learning particular methods of finding specific objects underwater. Objects that are small, large, or just weird, can all be found given the right tools for the job. First, together with your instructor, you will determine how to choose which method would be most effective in the search. Second, we will practice different search patterns using both a compass and natural navigation. Finally, once the object is located, we will learn how to bring it to the surface using a lift bag. Keep in mind that we can also apply these search and recovery methods in a “lost buddy” situation, too.

  • Number of days: 1
  • Number of dives: 4
  • Certification requirements: Minimum –  Junior Open Water Diver

We did 3 days diving with Legend diving at Nusa penida, Bali. They took us by boat to wonderfull diving spots. Beautiful corals, Manta ray’s, big and smal fish. We felt very comfortable with the gides, especiality with Mali and Eka, who gave us a safe and fun experience! Also thanx to the helpfull people from the boat. By the way we enjoyed the lunch at the boat. With kind regards Marcel and Marlinda

I dived with Mikel and the crew, he made the all experience really enjoyable. Super cool vibe while diving, safe and clear instruction and always smiling. Thank you hermano !

I had an amazing experience with Legend Diving Penida. I went diving with Rita, and it was my very first time diving. From the beginning, I felt completely safe and well taken care of. Rita was very professional, patient, and explained everything clearly, which helped me feel relaxed and confident underwater. The guidance and supervision were excellent, and the whole team was very friendly and supportive. I couldn’t have asked for a better first diving experience and I am absolutely satisfied. Highly recommended!
