If you’re on Nusa Penida but don’t have a lot of time, the Scuba Diver Course Penida is for you. It is a great introduction to the Open Water Diver course as you learn similar skills, barring a few. Once you have the Scuba Diver Penida certification, it is easy to upgrade to an Open Water Diver. You can do it anywhere at any time. The Scuba Diver Course Penida opens the door to many exciting possibilities.

For starters, you will learn vital skills that will make you a more confident and capable diver. You will have the opportunity to dive and explore the underwater world to a depth of 12 meters. The certification is recognized globally, so your underwater adventures can continue beyond Nusa Penida. All dives will need to be under the direct supervision of a PADI professional: they will show you the good stuff and keep you safe!

What’s Your Training Looks Like

Scuba Diver Penida Course Structure

If you’re on Nusa Penida and have 2 days spare, the Scuba Diver Course Penida is waiting for you. To achieve the Scuba Diver Course Penida certification you will need to complete the following 3 components:

  • Self Study the first 3 of 5 modules from the PADI Open Water Diver course.
  • Dive into the pool for confined water training. Here you will learn the skills needed to make you a confident diver. You will complete the first 3 of 5 confined water dives from the Open Water Course.
  • Ocean time!! Take your confined water skills and put them into practice in the open ocean. You will complete 2 of 4 Open water dives from the Open Water course.

You will start by self Study the assigned online knowledge development videos and sections. These should be completed before your arrival. Your Padi Instructor will check them together with the online digital forms and answer any questions you might have along with a small review to see if you have understood all the self study sections.

Once you have the theory out the way, indeed, it is then time to get into the pool. Firstly, your
instructor will teach and demonstrate how to use basic scuba diving equipment. You will then have the chance to practice them until you feel comfortable and ready. The fun continues in the pool where your instructor will teach you the skills needed in preparation for the ocean.

This is where things start to level up in the fun department. Finally, it’s ocean time! Now is your chance to practice what you learned in the pool, but this time with fish as the audience. We will take you on 2 ocean dives to the dive sites most suited to your abilities and comfort levels. A portion of the dive will be skills-based and the other will be exploration-based. Both are as exciting as the other. You will be amazed at the beauty that lies beneath the surface. Bright-colored fish will welcome you and you might even be greeted by a giant Manta ray.

Once the Scuba Diver Course Penida is finished, then we will head back to the dive center. You will be certified as a PADI Scuba Diver and we will send you on your next oceanic adventure.

The best first dive experience! I am very comfortable in the ocean but have always been nervous of trying scuba diving but the Legend Diving team made my experience seamless. I felt so safe and comfortable the entire time. My instructor, Rike, answered all of my questions and guaranteed my comfort the entire time. The company also let us store our luggage as we had to check out of our hotel before the dive ended and they were so accommodating allowing for us to hangout and swim before it was time to catch our ferry. Thank you Legend Diving! I will certainly recommend you to other friends.

the diving experience is marvellous. we had a great time with our guide, Beca and Harvy. They made us feel safe and enjoy the whole process of scuba diving. Both of them taught us with patience about the diving equipment and technique. while we are in the ocean, Beca and Harvy always stay with us. They could spot the ocean creatures and point them to us. It is wonderful to meet the manta, nimo and sea turtle. It would be splendid if I could come and dive with them again. Legend diving provided a safe and secured program for us to experience scuba diving. Highly recommend to everyone.

On a friend’s recommendation, I completed my Open Water certification with Legend Diving. The waters around Penida made for beautiful dive sites, and I never had to worry about my safety despite it being my first time scuba diving. Many thanks to Mali for her patient and detailed instruction, a big shout-out to Arga for helping me with my diving technique, and my deepest appreciation to the Legend staff and boat crews for making the past few days an unforgettable experience!
