What’s Your Training Looks Like

Marine Megafauna ID Penida

The Marine Megafauna ID program blends exciting adventures with meaningful knowledge over a 3.5-day course.

The adventure kicks off with an informative theory class about Manta ray and the Mola mola Bali. As a result, you will gain ample knowledge about their anatomy and behaviour which, in turn, will cause your underwater encounters to be even more rewarding.

On the second day, the morning highlight will be two dives, presenting a spectacular view of our famed marine giants in their natural habitat. Afterwards, the afternoon session will be dedicated to exploring the world of Turtles, focusing on their unique features and their significance in the ecosystem.

The third day follows suit, with an exciting twist in the afternoon theory class, which now zeroes in on Sharks, their intriguing biology and the multitude of species.

The course reaches its pinnacle with two additional dives, putting all your acquired knowledge to the test. Following the dive, identification pictures are obtained and uploaded to an online database, contributing to crucial marine research and conservation.

During the course, you’ll get a chance to visit dive sites such as Padang Bai, Manta Point, Crystal Bay, and the Penida North Coast, each offering unique experiences, rich learning opportunities, and a lot of fun.
