During your training, we will focus on particular specialties that will ultimately make you a more well-rounded diver. These specialties include Sidemount, Self Reliant, Deep diver, Nitrox diver, and drift diver. Our team of well-qualified and experienced instructors are ready and waiting for you.
DIVEMASTER COURSE PENIDA TEKKI – SPECIALTIES
Drift Diving Speciality
Nusa Penida Island has some of the best drift diving in Indonesia, and in fact, on the planet. Simply put, drift diving is where divers start at one point, follow the ocean currents, and finish at another point. Drift Diving is super fun and at the same time, exhilarating. We often compare it to an underwater amusement park amid a live marine life spectacle. Nusa Penida Island has a phenomenal underwater habitat of diverse sea creatures and beautiful coral for your viewing pleasure. With this in mind, join us for an oceanic trip of a lifetime.
Self-Reliant Diver Speciality
During the Self Reliant Diver specialty, you will learn how to Scuba Dive alone, safely. We have been told that diving alone is not recommended, and this remains true. Indeed, we should always dive with a buddy if possible. However, occasions may arise where we don’t have a dive buddy and are looking to explore the world below. This specialty will prepare you for these occasions. By the end of the course, you will have the knowledge, training, and experience to handle these specific situations. Furthermore, buddy separation while diving is a possibility, so having the skill of diving alone will help you manage this.
We recommend that only people with 100 dives sign up. If you have not yet accumulated that, then you can do so, with us. Additionally, you will learn new diving procedures, equipment setup, gas management preparation, and more.
Deep Diver Speciality
Scuba divers all have the tendency of wanting to go deeper whilst underwater. Generally, deeper waters hold life that we cannot see from above, thus making it more of an adventure. On that note, the Deep Diver specialty will certify you to dive to a maximum depth of 40metres. It is a whole new world down there, so be ready to get memorized. Additionally, we will cover deep dive planning procedures, how to manage gas, the effects of nitrogen narcosis, and buddy procedures. All in all, it is a guaranteed thrill of a lifetime, and will certainly leave you wanting more.
Sidemount Diver Speciality
The Sidemount Diver Speciality will instantly change your entire perspective on Scuba Diving. In other words, forget the standard setup of 1 scuba tank on your back and think differently. In fact, think sideways for a moment. So, imagine diving with not one, but 2 tanks on each side of your body. Sound futuristic and fun? Well, that’s because it truly is! Sidemount diving first began with cave divers in mind as it would be easier to enter smaller and tighter spaces. Ever since then, it has ultimately flourished amongst recreational divers. Therefore, it will be no surprise to see many more people with tanks at their side enjoying an underwater journey.
Nitrox Diver Speciality
During your Nitrox specialty training, you will learn how to dive using Enriched Air. In a nutshell, Enriched Air allows you to dive deeper for longer, which is ultimately what we want as divers. Consequently, it is the most popular specialty of them all, for obvious reason. Diving with Nitrox will make your deeper dives, safer dives. Nusa Penida Island is home to the Manta Ray and Mola Mola, which are both rare species to find. Nitrox diving increases your chances of finding a Mola in the deep and allows longer Manta Ray visits.
