The Drift Diver Nusa Penida course will take 1.5 days to complete and will look a little something like this:
Drift Diver Nusa Penida – Day 1 (Half Day)
On arrival at Legend Diving Penida, we will first complete the sign-up and registration process with you. Secondly, your Drift Diver Penida instructor will walk through the course outline and show you to our onsite classroom. Thereafter, we will provide a Drift Diver manual and leave you to self-study and complete the knowledge development questionnaire. The material will cover all that you need to know about drift diving. You will learn about different ocean currents, how to plan for drift dives, specific buddy procedures, and more. Once the theory is finished, your instructor will revise the questions and then you are free to explore the island.
Drift Diver Nusa Penida – Day 2 (Full Day)
In the morning we will meet at Legend Diving Penida to brief the dives and performance requirements for the day. Your instructor will remind you of some theory you studied the day before and then head to the dive boat. On each of the 2 dives, you will need to complete a few skills. Once the skills are done, then it’s time to relax and enjoy the drift. One thing that you will notice is that during drift diving we will cover a large area of water. This will provide an increased chance of seeing more of what the Island offers underwater. Hopefully, we will encounter Mola-Mola and drift along together with them.
When drift diving, we have the possibility of coming across a few potential risks. These risks may include extreme currents or losing our dive buddies. Don’t worry, at Legend Diving Penida, our team of instructors are highly experienced in drift diving. They will never put you into a situation that is dangerous or not manageable. Diving with a trained professional will also give you a better chance of seeing more marine life. Our team knows the reef around the island well and has knowledge of where the good stuff like to hide.
